I am glad I waited to write this blog as my sister Gina asked me this past Friday: "Why didn't Rob and Russell team up and beat everyone?" I said for two reasons, they each had big egos and each wanted to be the leader. If they could have figured out a way to work together, they would be a touch force to beat. More on this later.......
At villains camp..........
We hear Rob say" It's ridiculous for people to think that 3 people can beat 5 people" which led me to believe that someone from the larger group was going home. We then see Russell say for the 185th time ( I counted ) since he has been on Survivor "I'm that good." We then see Parvati say Jerri is jealous of her because of her relationship with Russell and then she goes and says to Jerri "I will take you to the final four." When you make that type of comment to someone you are taking a lot for granted thinking you have the final four sewn up. There is confidence, there is cocky and there is being stupid. As I am watching I am thinking, "Have Jerri snd Coach put any thought into realizing they are the swing votes for this tribe?" Right now they have the power if they think about it. Rob, Courtney and Sandra think the two of them are on their side and Russell, Parvati and Danielle think they are in their court. Having the advantage of knowing how people have played before, I would go with Rob, Sandra and Courtney because there is only one brain between the three of them.
Heroes Camp
Rupert says "We need to stay strong." Colby makes the most obvious statement of the game so far, "If James knee had held up, I would be gone."
Reward challenge takes up to water basketball and we see Rupert and Russell mixing it up quite a lot and then we see Colby and Candance dominate the game for the Heroes as they win easily. When the Heroes get their reward they find a clue for the idol and immediately decide to look together to find it. This is a great idea in theory and will be valuable if they can make it to the merge without losing anyone. My question would be, what happens if they lose a challenge before the merge? Does anyone get use the shared idol? Makes you think.
Villains Camp
We see Russell making yet another deal in promising to take Coach and Jerri to the final three. I was't a math major but Parvati promised to take Jerri to the final four with her and then Coach promised to take Jerri and Coach to the final three with him. Looking at this logically that is five people vying for 3 and a half spots.
If Coach and Jerri are really as close as they say, they should compare notes and easily figure out that Parvati and Russell are the master minds and should turn them against each other later in the game. And what the hell is up with Coach all of a sudden? Where has the swagger gone?
Immunity Challenge
The netting relay puzzle race. I lay the blame squarely on Courtney here. Girl couldn't punch her self out of a paper bag if you gave her a pair of scissors and a book of matches. The villains were way ahead until she took her turn and couldn't get out of the netting. The Heroes won easily again which is becoming a pattern.
Vote
Why the hell did Coach vote for Courtney after listening to everyone talk? Dude is playing the ultimate, "I am loyal and a follower." Unless he is playing everyone which he may be but I doubt it, he won't win because he doesn't have the nads to make the big decisions on his own. While it is great to be loyal and all that, if you are paying attention dude, you will figure out Parvati and Russell.
Next week we start to see the wheels of the villains truck falling off.
